Unfortunately, it is disappearing rapidly; a total population of 10,000 to 30,000 is now found only in parts of Sumatra and Borneo. The Orangutan depends on primary or old secondary forest in lowland area where it can find its preferred food, the durian fruit. Recent timbering operations have destroyed much of this habitat, forcing the apes into less satisfactory mountain regions.", and "(World Wildlife Fund)".
