A vintage sports memorabilia item commemorating the 1992 Major League Baseball All Star Game which was held in San Diego, CA. This is a miniature wood bat key ring or key chain.

We actually picked up 5 of these identical key chains out of the same home. The price is for one key ring only. If you are interested in more than one, please e-mail prior to submitting the order. The wood bat measures 3 15/16 inches in length with a greatest width/depth of about 5/8 inch. When the metal ring and chain are fully stretched out, this measures about 6 inches in length. This vintage key chain weighs about 1/2 ounce unpacked.

Made of natural wood with an overall light tan color. There is dark blue stamping in two places on one side (the back side of the bat is plain wood). Near the thick end of the bat is stamped the All-Star Game logo with San Diego Padres 1992. In the middle of the bat is the Major League Baseball stamp with Cooperstown MLB 1989 at the top. The thick bottom end of the bat has a pattern impressed in the wood. We don't know if this was decorative or relates to how these pieces were made (this pattern could indicate how the wood was held on the forming machine while the bat shape was being carved).

We've provided 8 images including one with a quarter for size comparison. The last image shows all 5 bat key chains but again, the price is for only one key ring. Please note that the camera lighting causes white "hot spot" reflections on the smooth wood surface. Please use the zoom feature to examine closely.

Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or major issues. There is natural variation to the light wood coloring across the 5 pieces, with some showing darker browns spots, areas or lines. There is also variation to the dark blue stamping. All are fully readable, but some are stamped lighter or darker, some have some unevenness to the blue ink or blue smudging, etc., as normally occurs across manufactured pieces. A few of the key chains do have some dark/black smudges, spots or lines (one has a light black horizontal line on the wood below the All-Star Game logo that is about 1 1/8 inch in length) which may have occurred in manufacturing or could be evidence of some wear, storage wear, etc., although these don't look like they were used to us. Nothing to worry about here.
