LIME GREEN IS BACK, and with a vengeance on this terrific 3 pc porcelain dresser set from the 1930's. Set includes 2 perfume bottles with original daubers and a covered powder box. One of these bottles is featured in Jacquelyn North's 1986 reference book "Perfume, Cologne and Scent Bottles". The Egyptian influence is obvious in it's tiered design giving the set an elegant yet substantive appearance. The perfumes are marked "Germany" and the powder marked "Bavaria". It is certainly a matched set and is likely that the factory used the stamps interchangeably. The condition of this set is terrific. no chips or cracks..pretty amazing considering all the points in the design. The only detraction is that the very tip of one of the daubers is gone making it about 1/8" shorter than the other one. The daubers are held firm in the bottle by having been embedded in a piece of cork (see pictures). All in all, a pretty elegant vanity item.
