Manufacturer: Belleek/Nautilus
Scottish Belleek Nautilus Hexagon trio. Parian china. Scotland. c. 1896-1913. Creamy ivory, all-over sheen. Like it sounds, this cup has a six sided shape. The edges are crimped almost like a pie crust. The handle is made up of 2 interconnected twisted loops. All hand painted. Flowers are done in a rusty red w/peach and also in yellow. Foliage in shades of green w/touches of brown & pale blue. Edges & handle are a burnished gold. Truly marvelous! Like item pictured on p. 190 (D391) of "Belleek" by Degenhardt (2nd Ed.). Made by the Nautilus company in Glasgow, Scotland. Not made for export. CONDITION: Excellent / Near Mint (pings). |
