VINTAGE HAND-CARVED WOODEN FEMALE FIGURE - Folk Art. Size: 9 Inches Tall with stand x 4 Inches Wide (spread hands) x 2 Inches Deep. The Stand (which is part of the carving) is 3-1/4 Inches Wide x 2 Inches Deep. Condition: Very Good. There are several age cracks in the stand, which is shown in the photo. This does not weaken the sculpture and is natural in a piece with some age to it. Age: My best guess is early to mid 20th Century. Origin: This was purchased from an Estate Sale in Iowa in the 80's. The piece is not signed. There are some marks on the bottom of the piece, which I can't make out. Weight: 7 Oz's. A very charming piece of folk art. |
