Signed "Toyohara Kunichika hitsu" in Japanese with "Toshidama" seal and dated "Meiji 26" (1893); published by Fukuda Kamajiro. Condition: very good; brown spot in right margin and very faint brown spot on elbow; very light metallic transfer stain next to the head; margins intact; mica residue in green background; excellent color; "gauffage" (embossing) of background design in UL panel; very fine carving of hair. Note: other woodblocks by Kunichika are available; please inquire. |
