The painting is exquisite and the box is dated ("1979"), numbered ("12890"), and signed by its Palekh artist (see pictures). The cover of this box is not hinged to the base, which is painted with a floral design on all four sides. Overall dimensions are 4" x 3" x 1½". A fantastic piece of Russian folk art! |
