Manufacturer: Lovatt
Hard to find English Lovatt pottery handpainted vase, circa 1890s. This is one of a pair of vases and is marked "Lovatt, Langley Mill, England". Also impressed on the base is "Leadless Glaze" and "2057". The neck is a rich brown high glaze pottery, trimmed with gold and the beige body has a threaded appearance, upon which the design is painted. It is hard to find a matching pair of old Lovatt vases, especially in such good. ~5½" (H). (See other vase:#G140b in last picture). |
