A fantastic and VERY RARE piece of Italian/American artglass depicting a female nude by world-recognized glass artist Roberto Moretti. Roberto and Alessandro Moretti were the two brothers from the famous and highly respected Moretti family from Murano, Italy, who brought their artistry to the US. Roberto made this wonderful nude, which is signed on its base ("Roberto Moretti"). I was recently told by one of his family members that this was the only nude that he ever made in red! Roberto, who died in 1986, had lived in West Virgina for many years, working at Pilgrim Glass. For a detailed history of the Moretti family and Moretti Glass, see: /index.html .
