An interesting iridescent central thistle is surrounded by a row of complex multi-colored canes. Peripherally lie a row of smaller canes that alternate with radiating elongate canes. Diameter: ~2½". Phoenix Paperweights recently opened in Scotland under the direction of William Manson, subsequent to the closure of Perthshire Paperweights in early 2002. This first edition paperweight has a signature ("PP) cane and is signed on base (Phoenix, 2002; 13/50). (FP3) |
