Intricately carved Chinese soapstone double vase in a striking natural coloration (black and various shades of deep rust). These dark rich colors are hard to find in these older pieces and enhance the depictions of birds and flowers. The pictures indicate the details and fine condition of this attractive late 19th (or early 20th) century stone carving. There are some thin (not deep) lines in the stone, which were made when the piece was carved (and mentioned to be precise). Dimensions: 6½" (H), 9¾" (W), 4¾" (D). |
