" When I was a small child we were not allowed to get out of the yard. But when we would see people walking on the levee and the side walk, we would sneak out, and this is what we saw. The tent with the two tubs is where my mother would wash her clothes when the cistren would dry up. I'm in red in the boat and my cousin and a neighbor boy. My cousin took a fish out of the fish box and told my father the fish jumped up and she caught it." |
