Circa: 1941 Condition: Very Good Type: Spiral Bound Manufacturer: Home Economics Dept., Frigidaire Division of General Motors Sales Corp. Pages: 75 ISBN: Not applicable
This is an unusual publication that will be a great addition to a collection of Frigidaire (or other manufacturers’) appliances in the World War II era.
Titled 1941 Production Presentation Information for the Home Economist, prepared by the Home Economics Dept. of the Frigidaire Division of General Motors Sales Corp., Dayton OH, this softcover book has two sections.
The first, ‘Let’s Look in the Frigidaire’ features a complete presentation on the 1941 Frigidaire refrigerator. The second, ‘Carefree Cooking,’ covers the Frigidaire Electric Range. Both include cooking school arrangements, with suggested stage layout to a detailed lecture on the product, with speech and action synchronized to the lecture. Menus and recipes are included to demonstrate exclusive features or advantages of the 1941 products.
Photos illustrate the interior set-up of each refrigerator featured, and individual photos also illustrate a vast array of recipes that can be prepared with assistance from the newly-designed refrigerator and range.
The 75-page book measures about 8.5 by 11 inches and is bound with plastic comb binders. It’s in Very Good condition with a few creases along outside edges of covers, but no writing, tears or other defects inside or out! (17071)
