Backstamp British Scenery Booths Silicon China Made in England. - BOOTHS crown SILICON CHINA ENGLAND c1906-21 (earlier Booths period) location: This popular blue and white transferware pattern of British Scenery features a cottage, man and woman, landscape, and animals, surrounded by a grapevine foliage and wheat border. It is finished with a high quality gloss glaze. It was made in England by Booths. It has the earlier Booth's period backstamp (C 1906-21) "British Scenery, Booths (crown) Silicon China, England". these scenes were produced using old engravings from the famous Davenport company, ironstone manufacturers of the C19th. The divided plate measures approximately 10 1/2 inches in diameter. It is in great condition with no chips,nicks or scratches. |
