Vintage Presidential Gallery Plate first edition 1942, Vernon Kilns. 12 1/2 inches in diameter. Vernon produced commemorative souvenir plates from 1936 until it was acquired by Metlox in 1958. Unfortunately Metlox did not continue the plate division. This red transfer print on the ultra shape depicts the pantheon of American presidents from Washington to President Franklin D. Roosevelt. This hard-to-find plate was issued during the Truman administration. It's in good condition with no chips, there is a hairline crack that runs about 2 inches from the rim for almost half of the plate (priced accordingly |
