This is a very nice, clean rosewood and brass level marked "W. MARPLES & SONS HIBERNIA WARRENTED CORRECT" on the top brass plate. The top plate is very nice, a few minor scratches, and a past owner's name slight etched on the brass near the maker's mark. The rosewood is very near mint with a few small dings noted on one end, very nice finish. There are two brass end plates, these are held in place by a notched out area in the rosewood, and one steel screw in each, well attached, no missing hardware, good sight bubble tube, checks out level also, when it was inspected. This level is 10.6" long x .7" wide x .8" high overall. A quality made level, by a well known maker! |
