Circa: 1911 Condition: Good+ Manufacturer: Wm. Rogers & Son
This is a nice large serving ladle, or soup server in the Old Colony pattern, year 1911. It is marked "1847 ROGERS BROS. XS TRIPLE" on the back of the handle. The triple refers to an extra amount of silver plating in process than a standard piece. It measure 12" long, and the spoon shape is 3.65" x 3.5", for serving most any type of soup, stew, broth etc.. It is in good shape, with many minor scratches (mostly on the spoon shape, but still has silver plating covering 99% of the total surface area of the ladle, nice polished finish, not damaged or bent up. A very nicely made, sturdy serving ladle, nearly 100 years old!
