This is a very clean, sharp and ready to use Patented spoke shave by Millers Falls Co.! It is a pleasure to use, has a very solid feel, and curls chips away better than many spoke shaves. It is marked "MF CO. MILLERS FALLS MASS. PAT. FEB.19.1884" on the main steel beam. The handles are cocobolo I believe and are very strong, but one handle does have a minor grain separation but is tight and solid. The cutter is adjustable, hold in place with two screws, about in good working order. There is no rust, no damage and works just fine. Measures 10" x 3/4" diameter. |
