This is a hard to find boring machine auger bit (1.5 dia. x 11.5" long) (end shaft diameter is .50") marked by a maker's name, but is very lightly stamp, here is what I can see "....LA?D EDGE TOOL CO.". This type features the double cutting edge spiral and spurs. Overall very good condition, not rusty, but has some minor pitting, mostly away from the cutting edge areas, some staining, sharp, good threaded lead screw end tip. Drill runs true, ready to use condition. Useable in many antique boring machines with the 1/2" diameter screw chuck. |
