Manufacturer: Coca Cola
This gallon glass bottle once held Coke syrup for fountain service. I believe it's from the late 1940s, based on the logo and other clues on the label. Directions on the jug are for making one six-ounce glass at a time, with proportions of syrup to carbonated water for larger servings.
The bottle is marked Duraglass in script (manufactured by Owens-Illinois). The green and red paper label is in good condition with some minor wear at the bottom edge as shown. The cap is rusty with no paint remaining. The bottle has no chips or flakes and is clear and relatively clean, though traces of syrup remain in the bottom. |
