Six nice cotton and linen ladies' handkerchiefs, white with lacework or embroidery. Four are all white bridal or wedding type hankies. One has allover Madeira embroidery and drawn work, one has lacy crocheted edging and white-on-white embroidered flowers. Another has drawn thread work tulips and borders with shadow applique scalloped edging, and the fourth has a pulled thread border - this one is fine linen.
The two hankies with colored embroidery include a larger near-sheer fine batiste with violets and lily of the valley, and a scalloped hankie with three squares of rose, forget-me-not, and violet bouquets. This one has a faint mark in a corner caused by the glue on the back of a foil label, otherwise the hankies are clean with no stains or tears, despite the shadows in my photos.
