Circa: 1945 Country of Origin: United States Manufacturer: Turner Mfg Co
Three framed prints from the 1940s by Turner Manufacturing. The large 14 by 11-3/4 inch picture depicts a mid 19th century antebellum couple. The two smaller 9-3/4 by 8-3/4" pictures feature ladies in similar dress standing among leafy greenery. All three are done in muted colors of primarily pinks and greens against solid black backgrounds, framed under glass.
The heavy ivory colored molded frames have a carved acanthus leaf design. They're made of a wood and plastic composition material similar to Syroco items of the same era. Each print is very discreetly signed Turner at the lower right of the images. Reflections on the glass caused the haziness and shadows - the pictures are in excellent condition with no wear, fading, or damage.
