Manufacturer: Bavarian Bristol
This ornate glass and metal table lamp was made in 1950s West Germany by Bavarian Bristol. It has a three-sided heavy cast metal base with gargoyle heads at the tops of the three support legs. The glass shade is cased white glass with gold leaf Florentine decoration and white and gold enameling. The shade is topped by a cast metal acorn finial canopy. Overall height of the lamp is 34-1/2 inches. The base is 8-1/2 inches diameter and the shade is about 9-1/2" diameter at the shoulder.
The lamp works fine as shown. The cord and plug are the old fashioned non-polarized type but there are no splits or damage. The only issues are some slight fading of the curved gold motifs at the top of the shade from cleaning and a little discoloration and small spots of corrosion to the base, apparently from a liquid spill (see next to last photo).
