This wonderful set of embroidered doilies were used on the arm chair. The longer one went on the top of the armchair to protect the chair from grease or hair oil which the men wore at that time and the smaller doilies were for the arms to protect from wear. Looking at the colors I'm thinking it was the 60s these were made. These could be used on dressers also. In excellent condition. |
