** ANTIQUE TILES ** > Gila ~ McKusick ~ DHC ~ Tiles & Pottery

View As: List  |  Gallery

The McKusicks had a very diverse career in the pottery and tile business. Their association with Desert House Crafts in Tucson, Arizona was a transformation for both Desert House and themselves. Many people can only associate the animal designs with them. The fact is that their work extends far beyond that and the animal designs are only a small portion of their lifes work. Native American designs and scenes, dishes, cups, bells are some examples.

1676

4.25 Inch Full Figure of Hopi Dancer DHC or McKusick This 4.25 square tile is of a full figure Hopi Dancer. To be honest I am having trouble attributing this tile to McKusick or Desert House Crafts. There could be a Mckusick stamp marking under the cork, but I am unwilling to remove this to confirm. The tile is in very good condition.
