Manufacturer: Portugal
Fabulous and classical Portuguese antique tile. Done in polychrome glazes - this has a cherub's head at the top, with wings underneath. Measures 5 1/8" square by 7/8" thick. This tile design is pictured on page 125 of the book "Portuguese Tiles from the National Museum of Azulejo, Lisbon". I believe this is at least 100 years old, perhaps quite a bit older. In very nice condition, with minimal edge wear. (#T-1125-G)
