Two cats and two fish are the subject matter for this whimsical large tile plaque. Danish modern in style, the glazes are heavily crackled and look like glass. The tile measures 11 3/4 inches x 9 3/4 inches. It is solidly mounted in a heavy black wood frame which is 1 1/4 inches thick. The entire framed panel measures 16 inches x 14 inches. There is a glazed over mark on the back, which I cannot make out. Probably circa 1940's to 1950's. In excellent condition.
