Lovely vintage signed Faberge red or ruby glass votive candle holder, cut to clear in vertical pattern. Signed on underside base. Side cuts alternate vertical clear and ruby red bands, which provide a neat thinner red stripe pattern in clear areas in some views.
Heavy glass, weighing 12 ounces unpacked. Round measuring about 2 1/2 inches in height with about 3 inches greatest width, top opening has about 2 1/8 inch opening diameter. When viewed from topside, clear cut bands provide an angled, starburst type edging.
This was difficult to photograph to show the true beautiful color, so images were shot both held up to natural outdoor light and sitting on a table using the camera light. If you view across all the images you should get a good idea of this piece, but it will look even nicer in person.
Wonderful overall condition. This did come out of an elderly person's home so it may have been used in addition to being displayed, but we see no signs of use and it appears to have been handled gently. The only tiny flaw we see took a while to find. If you run your finger across/around the top opening rim, you won't feel any chips. However, if you do this feeling the lower rim within the piece, in one spot there is a very, very tiny flake, chip or flaw. Nothing anyone would see, not sure how this could occur, perhaps made this way, and most wouldn't ever find, but you should know this is there.
No other chips, cracks, crazing, scratches, or flaws. As made there are some pin/pit dots in the glass but one must look closely to find.
