An original promotional piece for Space Ace when it came out as a LaserDisc video arcade game in 1983. The 1983 year is printed on both the outer front cover and interior cover page. This is an animation flip book by Don Bluth (the game designer, animator, illustrator), published or manufactured by Magicom, Inc.
This is a vintage promotional piece, give-away or advertising premium. The multi-page cartoon or animated bound flip book measures about 3 1/4 inches x 2 inches x 1/2 inch in depth. It is light in weight, a bit over one ounce unpacked, and will be shipped in a plastic sleeve with cardboard within a padded envelope. When this was distributed in 1983, they actually gave out three different books which had three different colors for their covers. This is the original blue book.
Very nice condition. Minor storage or handling wear, with touches of end wear/chipping/indenting (not bad). This does not look like it has been previously flipped, just slightly opened, even though it came out of a home. Please see multiple images for full understanding, using the zoom feature to examine closely. Images have been provided shot both with and without the camera lighting, since varied features were better visible in one lighting versus the other (images shot without the light appear yellower). When you see this in person, you will see that the bright medium blue color is an appealing rich blue, kind of a cross between the slightly lighter blue of the images shot with the camera light and the slightly darker blue of those shot without the light (sorry, we did the best we could).
