Manufacturer: Anne Klein Purses
Lovely vintage Anne Klein medium sized hand bag or purse out of a home. This looks unused to us with no major flaws other than curves to the shoulder strap which are likely due to how this was folded and stored over time (there are a few minor flaws described below). As it came out of a home, we can't know if it was ever used or not, but if it was used, the person was gentle with it and very careful, leaving it in wonderful condition. Please review our description below and the images closely using the zoom feature. We do not often sell hand bags and are not experts, so we will describe as best we can.
This is what we would call a crossbody bag, with the actual purse measuring about 8 inches in height, 10 inches in width and 2 inches in depth. The handle style is an adjustable shoulder strap, with a maximum strap drop or hanging length of about 27 inches to the top of the purse. The purse closures include zippers and snaps, with 2 magnetic snap closures and 2 zipper pockets.
It was manufactured for Anne Klein in Cambodia, using metal and brass for the hardware, polyurethane for the body, trim and strap material, and polyester for the lining material (there are tags indicating this). Overall it is a white purse with beige printing for the lion head pattern with 3 short lines, and has a water resistant faux leather type finish. Unpacked this hand bag (handbag) weighs about 12 ounces. It will be shipped in a box for safety.
This is an organizer type bag, having what we would call 5 pockets total plus an inner credit card (or other similar item) holder consisting of 3 fabric sleeves on one side of one inner pocket. There is one outer lined pocket that closes with a metal snap closure with the Anne Klein lion's head on the outside. There is no outer pocket on the other side or back side of this bag. There are two large lined pockets which have upper zipper closures. Between the two zip close pockets there is what we would call a large open top lined pocket that has a partial piece/snap closure to provide some measure of closing. Within this large central snap pocket there is an inner smaller zip closure pocket on one side with the credit card sleeves on the other side of the large pocket. On the smaller inner zip closure appears the Anne Klein branding. The manufacturer material tag with Made in Cambodia is also within the middle snap pocket.
The beige or light tan fabric lining for the pockets is printed with the Anne Klein name and the lion's head insignia. In the outer pocket there is still a large piece of flat tissue paper and there are two of those stay dry/humidity small gel packs within the small inner zipper pocket, the presence of all this adding to our belief that this purse was never used.
The adjustable strap has a metal buckle (a magnet sticks to this) with five holes so that you can adjust the hanging length (we moved the buckle from the second longest hole where it has sat for years to the longest hole so that we could provide an approximate measure of hanging length to the top of the purse).
Other than the folding/curving to the strap from how it must have been stored, this is in wonderful shape. We do note two minor flaws. In one spot on the inner side of the strap, near the middle length of the strap, there are some small light blueish ink spots in this one area, not bad at all, but we saw them. We don't know why they are there, perhaps a transfer from something else at one point, and maybe you could wash these off, but we didn't want to do this in case of damage. They are no problem and shouldn't be noticeable in use. Also with the outer pocket, on the inner piece of the snap closure, if you look closely you will see some wear/tarnishing/spotting on the top edge and inner central edge of this metal piece. Again wouldn't be noticeable in use but you should know it is there and we point out what we see. |
