This piece is a cover from the 1907 Le Petit Journal #858 depicting Bakers at Work.

This piece shows two bakers. One baker is placing bread into an oven and the other is carrying loaves of bread. This piece was created at the time the food workers were on strike. However, despite the very difficult working conditions at the time, many of the bakers refused to strike.

This Journal Cover is professionally matted and framed. The frame is an unusual 3-dimensional metal looking piece. Very unusual but may be considered appropriate for the subject matter. The Journal Cover measures 12" Wide by 17¼" High. The entire framed piece measures 24" Wide by 28¾" High.
