Antique Brass Winged Dragon Griffin Gryphon Candle Holder pair 2. This is a fabulous set of two Candle Holders or Candle sticks for taper candles. They are lovely with fantastic detail and the form of the tail is like no other I have ever seen. They are unmarked and maker is unknown, but best guess these are from the period of early 1900s and no later than late 1920s.,

Height 6 1/2 inches;
Length chest to end of tail 8 inches.
Width, wing tip to wing tip across 5 1/4 inches;

They appear to be formed with one body piece, applied wings, applied candle drip plate and a candle bowl. Some original patina. They are heavy they each weigh 1 pound 15.8 ounces.
