Circa: 1800's
Manufacturer: R P
Large antique English biscuit jar. Gorgeous jar with silverplate lid. The hallmarks are: R R or R P, another letter which is worn, then L, 772, and RP or BP in a crown. It is crystal or cut glass, not pressed glass. Bottom is very worn indicating a lot of age. No chips or cracks; has one bubble in the glass; a tiny scratch, a couple tiny dots of tarnish on lid, and a small ding in rim of metal, but nothing major. It displays beautifully and is almost 7 tall up to rim; or 9 tall up to finial. Perfect for biscotti at your next tea party! 4/0porth-ck
