Tricia's Treasures

Manufacturer: UNKNOWN
This is an antique Victorian or Edwardian reticule mourning purse. It is not marked. The purse is a very, very dark purple with black glass beads. The beads have an iridescence to them. The purse has a drawstring and a black lining. There is a ball on the bottom of the purse but it does not have any tassels. I don't know if it ever had them. The purse measures 7-1/2 inches long without including the ball and 5-1/2 inches wide. The purse is in very good condition and the only problem I could find is a hole in the bottom of the lining. It could easily be repaired. I did not notice any missing beads. The purse has not been cleaned. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for stopping by.
