Circa: early 1900's
Condition: Good+
Manufacturer: E.C. ATKINS & CO.
This is one of the most unusual Atkins saws we have seen with early patent date on the medallion. It has the 26", straight back blade with 8 teeth per inch. The blade is clean, not rusty, about 98% straight, sharp and very useable. The handle is rather plain compared with most we have seen by Atkins, but it is solid and has minimal wear, a few dinged area, but not bad at all. It is marked "E.C. ATKINS CO INDIANAPOLIS IND. PAT. DEC. 27.1887 AAA" mark and logo on the handle medallion. The hardware is nickel plated on this one, about 50% remains intact.
