Condition: Good+
Manufacturer: T. Slack, Jennings, Snell
This is a nice, clean set of 12 Russell Jennings style spiral wood auger bit for you brace. The set includes 4/16" missing 5/16", and includes 6-16/16ths for a total of 12 in all. Most of the auger bits are marked by an late 1800's maker such as Jennings, T. Slack, Snell, James Swan & Peck, Stow, & Wilcox, the majority are marked "T. Slack". These were all well known quality tool makers. A few of the auger bits have a more course threaded lead screw such as the 11 & 13/16ths sizes. Overall they are in good sharp ready to use condition, not rusty, sharp, good lead screws, straight not bent, no damage. Some do have some pitting on them in some areas, but not on the cutting area, mostly on the back spirals or shanks. The set comes with a nice plastic and cloth roll that has a working belt style strap to keep this nice antique set better organized and clean while in storage. The roll has some wear, one cut about 1" long, and a good soft cloth to help protect the auger bits.
