Great Expectations Antiques

Circa: mid-1900's
Condition: Very Good
Manufacturer: Benton
This is a very rare, nice clean antique adjustable speed (quick change slip gear) wrench marked "BENTON" on the solid jaw of the wrench. The mark much deeper and clearer than others I have seen. This wrench allows the user to move the jaw into place quickly by releasing the gear driven jaw section with a turn of the handle, next simply turn the handle back to re-engage the gears, then tighten to the nut. There is also another stamp on the moving jaw "$2.00 MADE IN U.S.A. PAT. PEND.". As you can see some of the nickel plating has come off, but about 90% is still intact, otherwise this wrench is in A+ condition, no dings, jaws and bar very straight and nice, little sign of use! A very unique quick adjustable wrench!
