Herby, Smitty's 6 year old little brother, from the 1920's comic strip "Smitty" by Walter Berndt was made in Japan. He is made of bisque and cold painted. "HERBY", "Made in Japan" and "C92" are incised on his back. He stands 2 ¼" tall. The bisque is in very good condition with a little wear to the cold paint mostly on his shoes.
