Herby, Smitty's 6 year old little brother, from the 1920's comic strip "Smitty" by Walter Berndt was made by Hertwig & Co., Germany. He is a bisque nodder that has a newer string loosely holding his head. The bisque is in very good condition with some wear to the cold paint. "HERBY" and "Germany" are incised on his back. He stands 2 ¼" tall.
