Manufacturer: Buffet Chef
This 1940s electric buffet cooker-server-warmer appliance is called the Buffet Chef. I can't read the manufacturer's name on the bottom, only Toledo Inc. It's quite big at about 11-1/2" diameter, 13-1/2 inches across the handles, by 5-3/4" high to the rim. It holds 3 quarts with plenty of room for stirring. The round base is shiny chrome, the lid and upper shoulder area are spun aluminum. The four feet, side handles, and lid finial are a light colored wood - I'm pretty sure it's oak.
The server heats up well and has a side switch for two heat settings, high and low. The cloth covered cord and plug are in very good condition with no splits, frays, or damage. The cooker is clean and shiny inside and out, though there are some storage scuffs to the aluminum lid.
