Website

The Westmoreland Glass Society, Inc. is a not for profit club dedicated to promoting and collecting Westmoreland Glass. The club was organized in 1992 by a group of avid Westmoreland glass collectors. Starting with 32 members, the club is now over 500 strong. Each year we hold an annual convention in August, and a spring mini-convention, usually in March or April. The meetings are in various locations throughout the United States, to give all of our members an opportunity to attend. With seminars, auctions and raffles, as well as plenty of socializing and snacks it is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about Westmoreland Glass. Reproduction alerts, rare glass displays, door prizes and a business meeting are part of the event. Room sales are available to members, giving each of us an opportunity to expand our collections, as well as browse and admire the vast selection of Westmoreland Glass available at these events. The benefits of belonging to WGSI are both educational and social. The quarterly newsletter has many articles, from reproduction information to technical articles explaining how to identify Westmoreland Glass. Each issue has a color photograph added to the front, an opportunity to have your questions about Westmoreland Glass answered, and a section for 'item wanted' and 'item for sale' ads. These ads are free to our membership. Annual dues are $25 per family, or $15 per individual.
