Magic Collectors Association
Contact: Magic Collectors Association
PO Box 511
Glenwood, IL 60425 US

The Magic Collectors Association was founded in 1949 in New York City by several
prominent collectors of that era. The MCA has approximately 500 members in the
United States, Canada, Mexico, England, Australia, France, Germany, Denmark,
Switzerland and other countries. These individuals, both men and women, are
interested in the history of magicians and magic as a performing art. They are
collectors of books, posters, tokens, apparatus, printed ephemera (programs, tickets,
broadsides, etc.) and memorabilia (photos, letters, etc.) which enlighten us about past
and present performers.
Information and anecdotes about careers, inventions, stage routines, techniques,
publicity and lives spent in 뱓he world of magic fill the pages of our journal Magicol.
Articles, news, information, auction news and updates on all aspects of collecting are
included. All members are encouraged to contribute to this publication with news and
Membership dues for the calendar year 2005 are $25.00 in the U.S.; $30 in other countries.
Payment must be made in U.S. dollars by bank check or international money order.
Members outside the U.S.[only] may pay online using PayPal. If sending U.S. currency, use
Registered Air Mail letter to insure safe delivery.
Dues are for the calendar year, no matter what time of year they are initially paid. Each
member receives 4 quarterly issues of Magicol and is entitled to register to attend the
current year뭩 convention. The next Magic Collectors Weekend is scheduled to be held
March 30, 31 - April 1, 2006 in Washington, D.C. Recent conventions have been
attended by many prominent collectors and performers, including David Copperfield,
Teller (of Penn & Teller), Ricky Jay, Paul Daniels and The Amazing Kreskin. Usually 20
dealers (or more) offer an array of magic collectibles at our Weekends.
