Granny Doll Posable Paper Mache Signed Carolyn Guy
Granny Posable Doll Paper Mache Cloth Body Period Hat Artist Signed by Carolyn Guy on the bottom of her foot. This Doll is awesome. Her face, hands and arm up to elbow and feet up to knee are made of a type of Paper-Mache and hand painted. Her body is made of a cotton cloth, with a type of corded wire to make her legs and arms posable. She is wearing a white cotton, with white lace trim, slip and bloomers. Her dress is lovely and hemmed with a bias. Her shoulders are covered with a lovely cape, which ties at neck. All her clothing appears to be made from vintage fabric. Her hair is made of yarn and styled. A few pieces are untucked, but tuck right back up stylish under her hat. I have tried to show in pictures. Her hat is period for her attire, made with vintage fabric, just like hats of this period women wore and lined with netting and accented with a lovely ribbon and feathers and is secured with a hat pin. She stands 16 inch tall. She has a few flicks of paint on her feet. See pictures very lovely doll.

Milliners Doll Paper Mache Wood Leather circa 1860s
Milliners Doll Paper Mache Wood Leather circa 1860s. Height 8 1/4 inch. She is a wonderful doll in as found condition. Her head and chest plate is made of paper mache. She has a leather body and wooden arms and only one leg. Her papier mache head has molded and painted hair and facial features. There is wear to the finish and a age crack middle of her head that goes down both sides and stops just below her hairline. I believe this is where the paper mache was molded together and what has naturally occurred since 1860s. Her head measures 1 1/2 inch across side to side. The leather body is in good sturdy condition. The wood arms are intact with one hand all there and the opposite hand is missing a thumb. One whole leg and foot is missing, the other is complete with a flat bottom painted blue shoe. She is dressed in bloomers, slip and dress that have fauxing. No tears found and believe the clothing is from original period. She is just as found.
