Mercer - Trinity Tulip and Heart Tile
A truly wonderful Trinity tile circa 1920 with a heart and tulip of German Eighteenth Century design measures 5.75 x 7". Glazes of mottled green, brown and some yellows are in great condition with a nice high gloss. The upper right corner has an extremely small chip, the lower right corner has a small chip and the lower left hand corner has a small chip. Please see photos. This tile displays extremely well !

This tile has been in my personal collection for about 15 years and was acquired at an auction in Bucks County from a prominent collectors estate.
These particular tiles in this condition, don't come around often!

Assorted Group of Moravian Brocade Tiles
This group consists of a high glaze green grape leaf tile, 2 1/2" in diameter with a side chip in one leaf.
The second tile is a perfect matte blue bunch of grapes, measuring; 2 1/2" by 2".
The last two tiles are matte glazed capital letters "W" measuring 3" x 2", and capital "I" measuring 1' x 3/8". All are from 2004 (T-1092)

Pair of Vintage Moravian Fox Brocade Tiles
This pair of Mercer tiles is technically named Fox and Grapes Reduced and is design #374 in the catalog they date from circa 1920. Done in red clay, one is glazed in matte gold the other has a semi shiny black glaze, both have areas of small chipping ( see photos ). They measure 3" x 2 1/4"

Pegasus Tile by Moravian Pottery and Tile Works
This Pegasus tile is from the Constellation series of tiles made by the Moravian Pottery & Tile Works in Doylestown, PA. It dates around 1920, and the larger tiles in this series are very hard to find. This measures 6 5/8" in diameter and is just over 1/2" thick. The tile design is pierced. The glaze is a speckled / mottled blue, with the buff color clay coming though to enhance it. There is a firing crack through the left leg of the winged horse – as is common with many of the older and larger Mercer tiles. Generally this is in very nice condition. This would be an amazing gift for that astronomer in your life!

Moravian Border Tiles - set of 4
This is a set of 4 border tiles, made by the Moravian Pottery & Tile Works, of Doylestown, PA, circa 1920. Each hand made tile measures approximately 4 1/4" x 2 1/2" inches. Three of the tiles are in very good condition, and the fourth one has a rather large chip. Two of the good ones are done in blue and cream with red flush, the third one has a reddish hue over the entire tile, and the fourth one with the chip is green and cream with red flush. Great for a table, or as paperweights, or in an installation. (#1556)

Moravian Tile Stover Myers Mill ~ Bedminster Penn
Made in 1987 at the Moravian Pottery & Tile Works, in Doylestown, Pennsylvania - this octagonal tile depicts the Stover - Myers Mill in Bedminster Township. Measures 5 1/4" from side to side, and is 1/2" thick. Nice green glaze in the recesses. In very nice condition. (# 3210)

Moravian Centaur of Nuremberg Tile
This vintage tile as made by the Moravian Pottery & Tile Works of Doylestown, PA, circa 1920. Titled "Centaur of Nuremberg" – the centaur is deeply incised, and there’s a dark green glaze in the recesses. Measures 4 1/8" wide x 4" high, by 5/8" thick – nice early piece. Chips on upper right corner and lower right corner. One of the harder to find of Mercer’s tiles. (#3015)

Henry Mercer called this tile "Goose Girl". Hand made by the Moravian Pottery & Tile Works, in Doylestown, PA, this dates from ca. 1920. White clay base with blue - measures 5 7/8" square. In very nice condition - with wear to outside of three corners. (#T-1125-C)

Moravian tile Mayflower dated 1974
The Moravian Pottery & Tile Works of Doylestown, PA remade tiles in the original circa 1920 hand made methods. This Mayflower tile is one of their earlier remakes. Dating from 1974, this is 3 ¾" square. Made on buff clay, with a semi matte glaze and light blue in the background and recesses. One chip in the upper left corner. An interesting example of the early remakes. (#1001)

Moravian Frog in Tree Brocade Tile
This outstanding tile was made by the Moravian Pottery & Tile Works, of Doylestown, PA, circa 1920. These cut out design tiles were called "brocades" - and this one is a frog in a tree with leaves. He's probably a tree frog - look at his feet! Measures approximately 4" by 3 1/4" . In outstanding condition. (#T-1125-J)
