2 Primitive Antique Tin Low 6 Cup Muffin Mold Baking Pans Bakeware Pair of nifty antique or vintage primitive baking pans out of a home. These are what we would call low baking pans, as the height of the individual round baking areas or cups is much lower than one often sees.

Made of metal or tin, a magnet does stick to these pans. Each pan has 6 cup areas with the outer edges being the round cups so these don't have the more rectangular shape seen today. They measure 9 1/2 inches long x 6 1/4 inches wide and sit 1 inch in depth. Each has a hole in the metal at one end as made for ease in hanging. There are 2 formed/raised concentric circles on each pan for a design element between some of the cup areas.

There is no manufacturer marking or country of origin on these pieces, so we don't know for certain who made them. We've seen these referred to as Circle Brand (perhaps due to the raised circular designs) and also as unmarked Bake King pans, but we don't know if either is correct. Apparently there are some Circle Brand pieces being sold elsewhere that are reproductions, but these are clearly original antique or vintage pieces. Together these weigh about 10.4 ounces unpacked.

Both pans are identical in type and very old, aged and used condition, with both having seen much use and wear. They each have many scuffs, scars, spots/spotting (dark and light), some denting/slight bending and pin/push raised areas, discoloration, light rusting, etc. They are both a tarnished dark gray color in person, closer to what you will see in the first two images than what is shown in the other images, due to how the camera lighting changes their appearance. But all of this is supportive of their age and use, and adds to their charm. Please examine the 8 images closely, using the zoom feature.

Would look eye-catching hanging on a wall in a kitchen.

Please note that we have many other kitchen items listed separately for sale. Click for more detail...

2230

Victorian China Sugar Shaker Muffineer Child Angels Cupids Cherubs Neat find out of a home. This is an antique Victorian china Sugar Shaker or Muffineer which we have also seen referred to as a Sugar Caster (Sugar Castor). As opposed to the usual smaller salt or pepper shaker, this is much larger with a broader top that has 31 small holes to it so you can add a lot of sweetness to desserts, baked goods, breakfast (pancakes, toast) and other food items.

Made of ceramic or china, this is not bone china or porcelain as it is not translucent. It has a single piece construction, no separate lid. This has a bulbous shape which cinches in at the neck then out to broader shoulders before slimming towards the smaller base. The ceramic body has been molded with a raised scalloping having single beads near the upper top sides, then raised beaded curves on the shoulder, below the shoulder this is molded with a large gentle swirl pattern to the overall body, then raised beads again near the base. On the topside there is a slight molded depression in the center. There is a large hole on the underside base as made for pouring in the sugar. We do not have the original cork or stopper for this as received, but you could find a larger cork piece to make this usable.

We are not experts but believe this to be an antique or Victorian piece rather than vintage due to the style, construction and decor. There is no manufacturer or country of origin marking, but believe this to likely be European made. It could have been made in the late 1800's or the early 1900's, so we have entered the early 1900's as the time period.

A basic white china piece with multicolor transfer designs, gold line paint encircling the top and bottom, and some pink coloring under the top gold line. There is a gold line leafy design below the pink. On two sides the transfer pictures or designs show two child or children angels or cherubs or cupids, with wings visible on three of the four figures. These appear to be outdoor scenes with plants and flowers nearby. In one scene there appears to be a tambourine on the ground nearby, with the other scene having what may be unlit torches at their feet. In between these images are transfers of roses, other flowers and leaves in a wreath pattern.

Stands about 4 1/8 inches in height, with a greatest width of about 2 3/4 inches. The top diameter is about 2 1/4 inches with a smaller base diameter of about 1 3/4 inches. Weighs a bit over 8 ounces unpacked.

We've provided multiple images to show the varied sides including closeups. Please note that the camera light causes white "hot spot" reflections on the smooth china surfaces. Please use the zoom feature to examine closely.

Wonderful antique condition, having some expected evidence of wear and perhaps use that supports the age but nothing bad. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. The bottom underside stopper is missing as mentioned above. The underside rim on which this piece sits is unglazed with some roughness or unevenness and is not flat or finely finished so you can make this piece wobble a bit if you press down on the top but it sits fine on a table. It is possible that there are some very, very fine indents or low wear to this bottom rim, but nothing significant. In one spot near the lower base side there is an unglazed small triangle area, but this is as made since the gold line here has been painted over this. The gold lines show wear as to be expected for the age, particularly on the upper line and the leafy designs, but are still roughly 80% there. The angel pictures show some design/color wear but not bad. There are a number of small brown spots of staining/wear on the white ceramic, particularly above one of the cherub images. The top shaker holes are well formed without chips although some of the holes are a bit irregular in shape.

A fun addition to any collection of shakers, particularly one of sugar shakers, muffineers or sugar castors, or a collection of Victorian china in general. Would also make a nice gift for someone collecting pieces with angels, cupids or cherubs depicted on them.

Click here to enlarge image and see more about item 2228: Vintage Small Mini 12 Cup Muffin Cupcake Mold Tin Baking Pan Bakeware

Click for more detail...

2228

Vintage Small Mini 12 Cup Muffin Cupcake Mold Tin Baking Pan Bakeware Fun find out of a home. This is a vintage small baking pan for 12 cupcakes (cup cakes) or muffins. Could have also been used to make small thick cookies, cakes or candy confections. Metal, made of tin or steel, a magnet does stick to this.

Rectangle (rectangular) shaped with outer dimensions of about 8 5/8 inches x 6 1/2 inches and standing about 7/8 inch in height. The 12 round muffin holes or cups have a top opening diameter of about 1 3/4 inches, with a depth of about 3/4 inch. Weighs about 5.2 ounces unpacked.

There is no manufacturer or country of origin marking on this bakeware piece. Given this, we don't know the exact age here but from the condition, wear and piece type, we believe this dates from the 1920's to 1950's/60's.

We've provided 8 images to show from different angles, shot both with and without the camera light. The camera light significantly changes the coloring of this piece from what you will see in person, that is much closer to the darker, yellower images shot without the light. The light also blands out some of the wear on this piece, so looking across the images both with and without the light will give a better idea of the true condition of this piece. Please use the zoom feature to examine closely.

Very old used condition, showing much wear, use and tarnishing, but that is part of its vintage charm and to be expected. Does not sit flat on a table, slightly curved upwards towards several corners (no hard line bends, but curved over years of use), so wobbles when you press down on it sitting on a table. Much overall darkening, graying, tarnishing or use wear, top and bottom sides, including some rusting (there but not bad). Scratches and scrapes, and other general wear. Far from "new and mint" looking, but this supports that this is an old, much loved baking kitchen collectible.

Please note that we have many other kitchen items listed separately for sale. If you wish to purchase more than one, please e-mail us before placing the order since the shipping information has been inputted for a purchase of just one and will not calculate the savings you would get when purchasing more than one shipped together in the same package (we would be pleased to handle this for you).

Click here to enlarge image and see more about item 2183: Vintage Ekco Ovenex Square Baking Pan #600 7.5 In. Waffle Pattern

Click for more detail...

2183

Vintage Ekco Ovenex Square Baking Pan #600 7.5 In. Waffle Pattern Neat find out of a home, a vintage square baking pan in the 7 1/2 inch size. This was made by Ekco in their Ovenex Perfect Bakeware line and is fully marked. On the interior bottom in raised letters it states "Made in U.S.A., Ovenex Perfect Bakeware". On one exterior side panel in raised letters is stated "Ekco No. 600".

Low tin pan standing about 1 1/8 inches in height. This piece is tin and not aluminum as a magnet does stick to this (magnets won't stick to aluminum). This was likely made in the 1940's from some internet research, but we don't know the age for certain. The tin has an all-over waffle pattern or checked pattern. The upper rim tin is curled over and attached to the sides to provide a smooth top rim. In the four exterior corners the metal is folded over into a triangular shape like one could do when wrapping a package with wrapping paper.

We've provided 8 images to show from differing angles plus close-ups of the two markings. This piece is an all-over medium/dark gray in color or it has an all-over, uniformly tarnished look (not having tarnished lines and spotting). Most of the images were shot with the camera light to better show condition, but the light causes white "hot spot" reflections on the tin and changes the coloringm lightening it a lot. So we also included several images shot without the camera light which appear yellower but give you a better idea of the darker color you will see in person. Please look across all the images to get the best idea of this piece and use the zoom feature to examine closely.

Very nice used condition, with no chips, cracks, dents, pieces missing. This piece was likely used and shows some rust spotting in varied places, not bad overall but there in some areas. There is other evidence of age/wear/use via some scratches, some dark dots/spots, other general wear, but really nothing bad here. This old kitchen piece has a great look that supports believability of age.

A fun addition to any collection of vintage kitchen baking items or a general collection of kitchen utensils, gadgets, tools, etc. Would also look great on display in a bakery or restaurant or repurposed for other decor/uses.

Click here to enlarge image and see more about item 1801: Vintage Mrs. Smith's Mello-Rich Pies Tin Pie Plate B

Click for more detail...

1801

Vintage Mrs. Smith's Mello-Rich Pies Tin Pie Plate B Neat vintage tin pie plate with impressed name, Mrs. Simth's "Mello-Rich" Pie. Old kitchen collectible which came out of a home. Round, measuring about 9 5/8 inches in diameter and about 1 inch in depth, mottled gray in coloring, with 15 air/steam holes in the base center. Very nice used aged condition but this piece, as expected, was used and shows its age and wear via tarnishing, dark spotting, rust spots, scratches, wear/rubbed spots, etc. Clearly not mint but one would not expect it to be, and all this adds to the believability of age and its charm.

We've provided 4 images of the front and back sides, shot both with and without camera lighting. The lighting blands out the true color but aids in seeing the condition. Please note that white "hot spots" are camera reflections on the metal pie plate. We've also listed a second Mrs. Smith's Mello-Rich Tin Pie Plate which we've designated as "A". Versus tin pie plate A, this plate B may be less old as it is slightly heavier in weight and is overall much lighter in color with less tarnishing than plate A.

A nifty addition to any collection of old tin pie plates or baking collectibles or general kitchen collectibles, kitchen utensils, kitchen implements, cooking items, cooking tools, etc. Easy to hang on the wall of your kitchen, bakery or restaurant given the circular pie steam holes.

We are listing a number of other vintage tin pie plates and other old kitchen collectibles. Should you be interested in more than one, please e-mail us prior to placing the order. The system has been set up to calculate shipping costs for just one listing/item and will not provide you with the savings you would receive by packing more than one piece in the same shipping package. We will need to calculate that for you.

Click here to enlarge image and see more about item 1831: Vintage Matching Pair Heart Shaped Baking Cake Pans 9 3/8 Inches

Click for more detail...

1831

Vintage Matching Pair Heart Shaped Baking Cake Pans 9 3/8 Inches Nifty vintage pair of heart shaped cake pans or baking pans. Old metal pans, not sure which metal, could be tin since a magnet does stick to these pans, heavy metal weighing almost one pound for the two of these together unpacked. There is no manufacturer marking on either pan that we can see.

Each pan measures 9 3/8 inches greatest length, 8 5/8 inches greatest width and depth of about 1 3/8 inches. Both vintage baking pans are in old used condition, largely medium to dark gray in color (this varies based on the tarnishing). We've provided 8 images shot both with and without the camera lighting. The lighting makes it easier to see detail but significantly changes the color from what you will see in person, as well as "blanding out" the tarnishing, so the images shot in natural light are a truer representation of what you will see in person. Please use the zoom feature to examine closely.

These came out of the same home and were used and show the expected use/age/wear that adds to their character and charm. There are no dents, cracks, or chips. There is a lot of tarnishing via dark spots, dots, lines and solid dark gray tarnish areas, but you can also see shiny silver-colored metal. Additionally there is some rust spotting (including a nickel-sized rust spot on the interior of one of the pans), white spotting (you may be able to scrub this out but we haven't tried, we are selling these as is/as found), scratches, rubbed marks, etc.

A fun addition to any collection of old kitchen baking items. Would also look great on display in a bakery or restaurant setting.

We are listing many other vintage baking pans and other kitchen collectibles. Should you be interested in more than one listing, please contact us prior to placing the order so that we can provide you with shipping cost savings by packing them in one package. The system will automatically provide shipping costs for each listing as if mailed separately. We would be pleased to calculate and provide the postage savings for you.
