13600

Antique Copper Syrup Dispenser Early to Mid 1800s This handsome little hand forged copper syrup dispenser dates from the early to mid 1800s. It's unsigned but probably American made. The body is paneled, the lid is hinged. It measures 4-1/2 inches high to the lid finial, nearly 4 inches wide from handle to spout, and 2" diameter at the base.

The pitcher is heavy for its size and has an authentic patina. The only issue is that the handle has become detached from the body at the bottom. Please note that the closeup photo is greatly enlarged - the separation is barely noticeable when viewed normally.

16332

Solid Copper Deep Mixing Beating Bowl This vintage solid copper mixing or beating bowl is professional quality, deep and heavy. It has a nice reddish brown patina, though you'll want to clean it before use. It measures 10-3/8" diameter by 5 inches deep. There are some light stir marks inside and some small rub marks and scuffs to the exterior but no dents or dings. Photos show all sides of the bowl.

Click for more detail...

16243

Set 3 Nils Johan Swedish Copper Dala Horse Molds A very nice matching set of three solid copper vintage kitchen food molds from Sweden with embossed Dala horses and stylized hearts and flowers. The largest measures 7-1/4 inches diameter by 1-3/4" deep, the medium size mold is 5-5/8" diameter, and the small mold is 4 by 1-1/4 inches deep. All are lined in food-safe zinc or nickel. They have brass hangers at the tops and are marked "Nils Johan, Akta Koppar Sweden" inside a cartouche with knight's head and the alchemical symbol for copper (circle over +). The large mold has an additional mark: Handfortent.

I haven't cleaned or polished the molds so as not to harm the patina, though it is a little spotty when viewed up close. There are no dents, dings, or scratches, just normal very minor signs of age and use. The linings are intact. I estimate them to have been made in the 1940s or 1950s at the latest.

15782

Lighted Hanging Copper Plated Kitchen Pot Rack Here is a nice hanging kitchen pot rack in copper plated metal with two electric lights. The oval grid is about 3 feet by 19 inches. The height is 12 inches not including the hanging loops or chains. Extending from either end of the top bar are two copper cone lights which take up to 60 watt bulbs. Two 3-foot copper hanging chains, an oval ceiling mount, seven copper hooks, and mounting instructions are included.

The pot rack was previously used and suffered some random scuffs and scratches when it was taken down and stored - see the closeup photos. There are also a couple of white paint marks but those should be easy to remove.

16328

Copper Au Gratin Cookware Pans Set of 3 This copper oval au gratin baking pan was made in 1970s Portugal for Copral. It measures 10 by 7 inches at the interior, about 12-1/2 inches across the brass handles. The pan has a few storage and use marks but no dings or serious wear. It comes with a pair of round au gratins, 6-3/4" diameter. They're lighter in weight and not marked. These have a few specks of corrosion or pitting to the stainless interior lining.

Click for more detail...

16478

Kenmore Copper 1950s Kitchen Toaster Working This handsome 1950s Kenmore 2-slice toaster is all copper except for the black plastic base and push-down lever. Kenmore was a brand name of Sears and didn't make their own appliances though - I'm almost positive Universal Landers Frary and Clark made it - their toasters were virtually identical to this one.

It measures 9 inches long across the base (including the fin at the back) by about 7-1/2 inches high and 5-1/4" deep at the bottom. The toaster is in very clean, shiny condition with only light signs of use, such as random hair-fine shallow marks from use and cleaning, and some small tarnish specks, more on one side than the other (see second photo). The interior and crumb plate are reasonably clean as well with none of the usual caked-on greasy kitchen gunk that often plaques old kitchen appliances - just make sure to blow out any dust before use. It makes a fine piece of toast.

14686

Box Old Dutch Hanging Copper Kitchen Molds Set This Old Dutch International miniature copper hanging mold set is from the late 1970s - early 1980s. The set is mint and unused in its original box, complete with brass hanging bar and the package of original wall mounting screws.

The molds are 2-1/2 to 3-3/4 inches high. I'd consider them small but not miniature. The hanging rack is 12 inches. Shapes include pineapple, ribbed oval, fluted round dome, and floating heart. The box shows storage wear but is intact.

Click here to enlarge image and see more about item 13511: Antique Copper German Jugendstil Spirit Kettle

Click for more detail...

13511

Antique Copper German Jugendstil Spirit Kettle This attractive German Jugendstil Art Nouveau copper and brass tea kettle dates to the early 1900s. It was made by the Gebruder Bing Company.

The kettle hangs from its original brass stand and has an alcohol burner at the base. The oval shape gooseneck kettle body has an organic repousse vines or branches decoration. The squared brass handle has a fixed coiled brass clutch in the center. Note the distinctive angled omega shape of the lid finial.

This type of kettle was called a spirit kettle, after the alcohol burners at the base of the holder. Although not marked that I can see, it is well documented as having been made by Gebruder Bing of Nuremberg Germany.

It holds about 3 cups and is 7-3/4" wide from shoulder to spout, 4-1/2 inches across the narrow side, and about 8 inches high to the top of the handle. The brass stand is a little over 14" high.

The burner is missing the wick cover and one post, and it is dented on one side. The base of the kettle has a few honest dings from use (see third to last picture, left side) but they're minor for a 100-plus year old teapot. If you plan to actually use the kettle, I would have the interior relined first. The lining has deteriorated where the hanging bolts attach, and it may contain lead.

Click here to enlarge image and see more about item 16327: Copper 3 Quart Covered Saucepan

Click for more detail...

16327

Copper 3 Quart Covered Saucepan This long-handled copper saucepan has a substantial, sturdy weight and holds 3 quarts to the rim. It isn't marked but was likely made in Portugal in the 1970s, possibly late 1960s. The pot measures 8 inches diameter across the rim by 4 inches deep. It has a nearly 8 inch long cast brass handle and matching brass lid handle.

The interior stainless lining is very worn - you'll want to have it relined, or use it only for cooking non-acidic food. Tomatoes, vinegar, or citrus will react with the copper. The copper exterior has some normal light marks from use and storage, nothing serious. The lid finish is a bit trashed with dark corrosion spots from long-term moisture exposure.

Click for more detail...

16525

Universal Copper 1950s Electric Coffee Percolator Copper plated kitchen appliances were all the rage in the 1950s. This electric percolator is the Universal Coffeematic by Landers, Frary & Clark. model B4461. It brews up to 10 cups and stands 11 inches high to the glass perc top. It heats up fine and is in good cosmetic condition with no dents or dings. There are a few minor scuffs and tarnish specks to the copper exterior from normal use and storage. The grounds basket and cover are present, as is the cord. The Bakelite cord plug is chipped at one prong corner. It still works however.

I've had this percolator on display for more than 25 years, but I never actually made coffee in it. You'll want to run some coffee pot cleaner or a vinegar solution through the pot to clean out the interior coffee stains before use.

Click for more detail...

15902

1924 Kreamer Copper Bridge Set Food Molds Original Box Still in its original box dated 1924, this set of individual copper dessert or food molds is from the famous Kreamer Company. The four tin-lined molds have embossed playing card suite symbols on top and are 2-3/4 inches diameter by a little over an inch deep.

The predominately red box has terrific old fashioned graphics and reads "Kreamer Bridge Set Moulds for Frozen Desserts - Gelatines - Fruit Jellies" and "Refrigerator Moulds, Solid Copper, Fancy Individual Desserts Stock No. 29". The patent number and 1924 date are on the underside. The box has small taped split on the upper flap at the edge of the cut-out raised dome and some graphics wear at one corner from removed tape. Otherwise it's in remarkably good condition for being nearly 100 years old. The cardboard divider insert on the inside that separates the molds is even present. I didn't want to damage the patina by cleaning them - as you can see two molds have dark spots from old price sticker glue.

16329

Copper Cookware Pair Covered Saucepans Two vintage copper cookware saucepans with lids, unmarked but probably made in either Portugal or Korea in the 1970s to early 1980s. The taller one is 6-1/2" diameter by 3 inches deep and holds 1-3/4 quarts. The other pan measures 7-1/2" diameter by 2-1/4" deep and holds about 1-1/2 quarts. Both have cast brass handles and lids. The deep pan has several corrosion or pitting spots to the stainless lining, while the lining of the other pan is worn down to the copper. Both pans and lids have normal minor marks from cleaning, storage, and use but no dents or dings.

Click for more detail...

14130

1940s GE Copper Stainless Electric Tea Kettle This very nice late 1940s General Electric copper and stainless steel electric water kettle is the Automatic Speed Kettle model 15K20 and holds up to 2-1/2 quarts. The base, handle, and whistling spout cover are brown Bakelite, the lower half is shiny stainless steel, and the upper part of the pot is solid copper. The white push button on the handle locks in place for easy filling - just depress it again to release.

The heavy duty cord has no splits or brittleness. The stainless steel is bright and shiny with no dings or scratches, though the copper portion could use some polishing. There's one shallow ding to the copper top near the outer edge, I've circled it in picture number three. I filled the kettle with water and plugged it in to make sure it works, and it does heat up quickly.

Click for more detail...

11273

Copper and Glass Relish Serving Tray In Original Box This Irvinware copper and glass triple relish tray set comes complete in its original box with hangtag dated 1976. The ornately embossed and engraved rectangular copper tray measures 13-3/4 by 9-1/2 inches. Three heavy pressed glass rectangular relish dishes fit inside the center well, these have ribbed sides and starburst bottoms.

The glass dishes are sparkling and perfect still in their cardboard holder. The copper tray has a few spots of tarnish or corrosion as shown in the closeup photos. They aren't very noticeable, not at all when the glass inserts are in place. I'm not sure if the spots are from age and storage or previous use.

Click here to enlarge image and see more about item 13425: Rival Copper Grind-O-Mat 1940s Kitchen Grinder

Click for more detail...

13425

Rival Copper Grind-O-Mat 1940s Kitchen Grinder Rival produced many of their popular O-Mat kitchen products in a deluxe copper finish beginning in the late 1940s which were priced higher than the chrome and enamel finish models. This is the copper plated Grind-O-Mat meat grinder and food chopper.

It's about 8-1/4" high by 8 inches wide across the bottom, the handle of course adds to the overall size. I haven't polished it in years but I've kept it pretty clean with no dings or major scratches. The black paint of the wood handle has some wear. The last two pictures show two scuff type marks to the base, a result of vigorous cleaning. I think I wore the lacquer finish off in those areas - polishing would even up the color.

The grinder is of course fully functional, but it also makes a wonderful kitchen copper display item as well with it's sleek Industrial Age meets Mid Century Modern design.

Click for more detail...

13426

Copper Sunbeam Ironmaster Electric Iron I've had this Sunbeam Ironmaster dry iron for many years and have never once seen another in copper, although Sunbeam did make other deluxe versions of appliances in copper. It's the model A-9, with the last patent number issued in 1943 (I'm pretty sure this model was made into the early 1950s). It has a black Bakelite handle and red Bakelite heat setting dial. It heats up super fast . The old red and gold Sunbeam decal below the handle has all but worn away, and some of the white lettering has worn away on the red dial. The cloth covered cord has a little fraying of the upper threads in two spots. Very rare with the copper base.

Old Dutch Mid Century Modern Copper Coffee Set A Mid Century four piece wood handled coffee and tea set in solid copper from Old Dutch International. Included are a coffee pot, tea pot, creamer, and tray, as well as the original care and use brochure. The tall, slender cone shape coffee pot is 9-1/2 inches to the top of the lid finial by 3-3/4" diameter at the base. The other pot (tea I think?), is 6 by 3-1/2 inches. This pot is likely not original to the set as the wood finial and handle is a bit different in shape and color. The tray is 10-1/4" diameter. The set is in good vintage condition with minor signs of use, including a few shallow scuffs to the tray. The coffee and cream pitcher are marked Made in Portugal, the other pot and the tray aren't marked.

Antique Copper Creamer, Sugar, Tray Set A hand wrought Arts and Crafts hammered copper creamer, sugar, and tray set from the turn of the last century. The tray measures about 8-1/2 by 5-3/4 inches. The tin-lined wide lipped handled creamer and covered sugar bowl are about 3 inches high. The unsigned pieces are old and have lots of patina as well as verdigris spots. The tray has some surface wear in the center, the other pieces have no recent scratches or dings.

14871

Miniature Solid Copper Kitchenware 5 Pieces Doll Display These vintage solid copper kitchen miniatures are typically used in doll displays, as they're larger than normal dollhouse miniatures. I've shown a quarter in some of the pictures for scale. The largest is the Grecian style urn vase at 3-5/8 inches high. Next is a wide handled basket, nearly as high as the vase and 3-1/2" diameter at the rim. The tall colander may have been intended as an incense burner (the bottom opening is too small for most cone incense though, so maybe it's some type of kettle grill). The last two items are a handled vase or vessel and an urn or jug, 2-1/4" high.

16459

Mid Century Cavalier Copper Chafing Dish This Mid Century copper chafing or warming dish was made in Italy by National Silver, under their Cavalier Copper trademark. It has 5 pieces - lower water pan, handled upper pan, lid, black steel 3-legged stand, and a solid copper Sterno pot (which currently has a warming candle inside instead of a can of Sterno).

The chafing dish is about 9-1/2 inches diameter, 14-1/2 inches wide including the handle. It stands 6-3/4" high without the lid. This type of chafing dish often came with a glass insert bowl - this one does not. However, if you have an older round clear Pyrex or Fire King 1-1/2 quart, 8 inch baking or casserole dish, it will fit. There's a bit of cloudy film to the upper pan (both interior and on the underside) from heated water or steam. This was caused by not removing the lacquered finish before use. Otherwise the chafing dish is in good vintage condition with a few minor marks to the finish from use and storage.

13593

Miniature Copper Swirl Turks Head Candy Mold This old miniature copper Turk's head swirl mold is for candy or chocolate. It measures 2-1/8" diameter by just over a half inch deep. The lining appears to be tin and I'm not sure if it's food safe. I have owned it for more than 30 years but only used it for display. Unpolished, it's in good vintage condition.
