Slow Bicycle Race 1897 Trophy JAMES W TUFTS 1897 Very unusual and finely made James Tufts quadruple silver plate Smokers Friend ashtray engraved as the trophy for a July 4th Slow Bicycle Race in 1897.

The decorative raised design shows an embossed pipe and smoke forming the words "Smokers Friend." Nicely engraved on the pipe bowl as 1st Prize to Fred Days. Pipe stem engraved with what must be the location.

Trophy Bronze from 1899 America's Cup defender Columbia Nautical collector's dream. Superb large loving cup trophy made from the bronze of the 1899 America’s Cup defender "Columbia."

The original small plaque that certifies this is still firmly affixed to the bottom of the trophy. Columbia was victorious over the Irish challenger, Shamrock I, owned by Sir Thomas Lipton.
