Native American Indian Covered Basket
This is a very nicely made covered basket with a very fine and tight weave pattern. This style is sometimes called a sewing basket, as it has a wooden strap handle and a snug fitting cover. It does have a glaze or clear finish over the exterior it appears. This one has no sewing notions compartment inside, or plain inside. It measures 5.5" diameter at the top x 5" tall from the bottom to the top of the handle. The handle strap is very well attached and strong, it extends from the base to the joint at the center top. I don't see any damage on this basket, a few specks of white paint on it here and there. Very nice overall!
