Wilton Ware luster centerpiece bowl Extremely large centerpiece bowl (3" height; 14" diameter). Gold mark (with rooster and crown) on base and signed "WILTON WARE, MADE IN ENGLAND, STOKE-ON-TRENT, REG. APPLIED FOR." Center of bowl has an oriental scene primarily with blue and green lustre (luster) outlined in gold (see first picture). Side and base have a red lustre background with green and blue floral decorations outlined in gold (see second picture). This type of ceramic is sometimes called "English cloisonné," is extremely attractive, but very hard to photograph adequately! Other Wilton Ware pieces are available; please inquire if interested.

Copeland and Sons teapot Attractive Esthetic Period teapot by W.T. Copeland and Sons, formerly Spode, Stoke-on-Trent, circa 1873. As can be seen in the pictures, each surface of this teapot has a different design. The front and back are decorated with colorful hand-painted birds amongst green and turquoise bamboo, the porcelain handle is bamboo-like in appearance and the decorative pewter (?) lid has a chrysanthemum finial. Even the spout has a subtle turquoise dotted design on it! A most unusual teapot with a very oriental feeling. Height (to top of finial) is ~6¾"; length (handle to spout) is 10". Marked on base with raised Copeland shield and the numbers D9963.

Lovatt Pottery vase (c. 1890) Hard to find English Lovatt pottery handpainted vase, circa 1890s. This is one of a pair of vases and is marked "Lovatt, Langley Mill, England". Also impressed on the base is "Leadless Glaze" and "2057". The neck is a rich brown high glaze pottery, trimmed with gold and the beige body has a threaded appearance, upon which the design is painted. It is hard to find a matching pair of old Lovatt vases, especially in such good. ~5½" (H). (See other vase:#G140b in last picture).

Crown Devon humidor Extremely attractive iridescent rich blue humidor with metal (brass?) handle and a similar hand enameled ship at sea design on both front and back. The decorations are artist signed (D. Cole). The handle on top locks by a threaded finial, which keeps the lid in place and the jar air-tight. Marked on base: "Crown Devon, Fieldings, Made in England" and impressed 1336. Please disregard reflections on the photos. 5¼"(H); ~6½"(Diam.).

Furnivals "Denmark" platter Attractive blue and white platter by Furnivals Limited in their "Denmark" pattern, which is very similar to the traditional Blue Fluted pattern made by Royal Copenhagen. The platter is in very good condition. It does have fine crazing and a couple of very minor rubs on the underside of the edge; nothing objectionable and only mentioned to be precise. Hard to find piece made circa early 1920s. Length: 16"; width: 12¾".

Early Staffordshire polychrome cake plate The design on this 10" cake plate is called CHINESE PATTERN and was made by several different English potteries in the mid-to-late 1800s. This specific piece was made by Hope and Carter (circa 1862-1880), has their blue underglaze mark with the initials H&C, and also has an incised "C" and "070". This flow blue CHINESE PATTERN plate has a copper lustre border, and the deep blue transfer design is enhanced by red, green, and lustre flowers. The colors are quite strong and the lustre well-preserved. We have other pieces of CHINESE PATTERN for sale, including some larger serving pieces. If interested, please call or email us.

Early Staffordshire polychrome large platter Flow blue CHINESE PATTERN large (16" x 12½") oval platter. This pattern was made by several different Staffordshire potteries in the mid-1800's. Some are marked and others are not. This 16 inch paltter is unmarked on the back except for the number "16210" (in green under the glaze). Some lustre is worn from the border and the border is light. There is also some lustre wear from the central well of the piece. We have other pieces of CHINESE PATTERN for sale, including an extremely large (18 inch platter) and other serving pieces. Early Staffordshire polychrome covered server Large and elaborate flow blue CHINESE PATTERN covered server. Colors are very good (including the lustre) and the piece is stunning! Length: ~13½"; Height: ~6½". Both the inside and the outer sides of the bowl are decorated with the CHINESE PATTERN motif and the footed base has a nice gilded trim. The lid has an unusual handle in the shape of a knot and the bowl itself has interesting shaped handles. A hard piece to find in such good condition! This pattern was made by several different potteries in Staffordshire, England but this specific piece is marked only with brown numbers "6369" on both the base and underside of the lid.

The colors are quite strong and the lustre well-preserved and the overall condition is excellent.The colors are actually stronger than appears on the photographs.
