Pictorial New Zealand Ahh, beautiful New Zealand. This "photgraphic study" of the country in all its black and white splendor is undated, but I would guess that it dates from the late 1940s. Filled with lovely photos and sidebars that read like old Movie News reels, "Pictorial New Zealand" was produced by New Zealand's own Whitcombe and Tombs, Ltd. It measures 9 and 5/8 inches by 9 and 3/8 inches and is 60 pages long. It's not in pristine condition; the spine is crackled as if it's been subjected to a bit too much twisting, the cover is lightly scuffed, and the pages are naturally yellowed with age. All in all, still a lovely volume to page through and admire.

tcl009

NBC Broadcasting in the Public Interest In the time of radio, NBC had a number of guidelines for what certain types of radio shows could and could not contain. This volume "Broadcasting in the Public Interest" outlines those rules. Although it is not dated, it contains multiple references to being the year 1939. It's an amazing piece of National Broadcasting Company history. It's in pretty good condition, with the right top and bottom corners slightly thumbworn, a former owners name written in pencil on the top right of the front cover, and two library stamps, one faint on the front cover and one stronger on the first page. It is 6 by 9 inches and is 80 pages long. This is a fascinating piece. Highly recommended.

Belleek Shamrock Creamer and Sugar Set Beautiful Belleek Creamer and Sugar set in the basketweave and shamrock pattern. I don't know very much about Belleek but this set really caught my eye. The creamer is 5 inches from tip of spout to the outer edge of the handle. The curvewd handle takes the form of a branch. The creamer stands 2 1/2 inches high and has a great creamy white background. The mark on the bottom, according to the research I did on the internet, is the brown 7th. mark which dates the creamer and sugar from 1981-1992. I am not that familiar with Belleek so if you need additional photos, please email me.
The matching sugar is open and is also the basketweave and shamrock pattern. The sugar measures 4 1/2 inches from the tip of the brown handle to tip of the opposite brown handle. The sugar opening is 2 1/2 inches wide and the sugar stands about 2 1/2 inches high. The sugar also has the brown 7th. mark on the bottom. Both sugar and creamer are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
A very lovely set.
